COVID-19 Vaccination Policy

Background
​
The Haliburton County Community Co-operative works for the common good of the community and the social, cultural, environmental and economic well-being of the County.
HCCC supports the goal to have everyone in the country who is eligible and able, to be fully-vaccinated.
​HCCC supports the protocols and guidelines of the Province of Ontario and the local public health unit for vaccination, masking, social distancing, and other protocols.
In the fall of 2021, the Province of Ontario implemented a COVID-19 vaccine passport system that makes it possible to screen for double-vaccination and medical exemption. The Province of Ontario also mandated that venues for eating, gathering and entertainment must use the vaccine passport system.
As of March 1, 2022, the Province removed the requirement for the use of vaccine passports for entry but also left it up to each venue to establish their own policies and to continue to require vaccine passports and/or the wearing of masks for admission if they choose.

​As a minimum standard, all parts of the Co-op will follow the current protocols and guidelines of the Province of Ontario and the local public health unit for vaccination, masking, social distancing, and other protocols in relation to COVID-19.
As determined by the Province of Ontario, parts of the Co-op may establish their own protocols for meetings, activities and events that are over and above these minimum standards – which may include a requirement for vaccine passports and/or masking and physical distancing for participation in an activity or entry to a venue or event.
These policies will be established by the management committee of each Co-op Part.
Information on these requirements will be included in any promotion of an event and at the site of ticket purchase (on-line or in person).
The Co-op will support any Co-op Part in its enforcement of their established protocols for vaccine passports and/or masking and physical distancing for participation in an activity.
